July Monday 23rd - 29th

23rd: 'Trains week' at Erewash Museum. Fun train themed crafts and an activity hunt every day.

25th: End of School Garden Party at The Railway Lowdham. Free entry, 3 pm - 7 pm.

25th: Rainbow Stripes at Rough Trade. Live musical fun for the Under 5s. £5 per child. Online booking only here. 1pm - 3pm.

28th: Bread Making at Green's Windmill. Book onto one of six 30 minute sessions at 11am, 11.30am, midday, 12.30pm, 1pm & 1.30pm. For ages 3+, £4 per child. Booking is essential 0115 915 6878.

28th: (to 7th October) Superheros Exhibition at National Justice Museum.

29th: Outdoor Theatre. Dr Dolittle at Wollaton Hall. 6 pm - 9.45 pm. £11 per child, £16 per adult or £46 per family (2 adults and 2 children).

28th: Community Fun Day at Brendan Lawrence Sports Centre. Free entry, 11 am - 3 pm.

Monday 30th July - Sunday 5th August

30th: 'Holidays Week' at Erewash Museum. Free fun holiday-themed crafts Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Friday.

30th: Rainbow Stripes at The Milklounge. Live musical fun for the Under 5s. £4 per child (£3 for siblings). 10 am - 11 am, no booking required.

30th (to 25th August): Life's a Beach at Mansfield Market Place. Build sandcastles at Mansfield's very own beach. 10 am - 4 pm daily.

31st: (to 2nd Sept) - Nottingham Contemporary provide Arts, Craft and Creativity. Open every Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays except Bank Holidays).

31st: Extreme Slime at Tilly Pots. 1 pm - 2 pm. £9 per child.

1st: Lark in the Park at Bridgford Park, West Bridgford. 10 am - 4 pm. Free entry, free activities and chargeable rides.

1st: 'Celebrate Play' presented by PlayWorks at the Arboretum Park. 12 pm - 4 pm. Free event. Fun activities, games, music and stalls.

2nd: Outdoor Theatre at Rufford Abbey Country Park. Coming to Rufford on the Beach - Pirate Pearl and the Big Blue Monster.12.30 pm and 3 pm. Tickets: £12 Adults, £10 Child £40 for Family of four (2 children and 2 adults). Booking fee applies. 

2nd: Mini Pizza Making at Green's Windmill. Book onto one of six 30 minute sessions at 11am, 11.30am, midday, 12.30pm, 1pm & 1.30pm. For ages 3+, £4 per child. Booking is essential 0115 915 6878.

3rd - 5th: Riverside Festival at Victoria Embankment. Live Music, Stalls, Fairground rides and Kids Zone. Free entry. 

4th: Messy Play at Mansfield - 'Happimess'. Join the messy play party for children under 5 years old at St Peter's Community Centre. Older siblings welcome. 10 am. Book tickets here.

4th: Lego making at the National Justice Museum. Free event. 11 am - 3 pm.

8th: 'A Pirate's Life For Me' with Muddy Feet Outdoors - Climb the rigging in their trees, walk the plank on their slackline, scrub the decks in their mud kitchen and make your own pirate flag and sword using natural materials. 10.30pm - 12 pm. 10th: Big Family Fun Day at The National Ice Centre. 11 am - 4 pm. Free Entry. An action-packed summer’s day on their plaza filled with activities, competitions,  treats and more! Plus discounted skate sessions.

11th: Party in the Park at Broadgate Park in Beeston. Music, Food and Drink and Creative Children’s activities. £1 entry fee.

11th: Messy Play Wollaton - 'Super Mess'. Join the messy play party for children under 5 years old at Wollaton Park Community Centre. Older siblings welcome. 10 am. Book tickets here.

11th: Party in the Park. Woodthorpe Grange Park. Free activities, including hula hooping, multi-sports, golf, bug box making plus fete games, community stalls, craft stands, music and entertainment. 11 am.

15th: Positive Kids: Yoga and Wellbeing Crafts at Bamboo Yoga NG5 6LD. 2 pm - 4 pm. A wonderful workshop combining an energising and positive yoga journey, meditation to encourage good thoughts and then time to create an inspiring Positivity Board. Ages 3 - 12, £18 per child. More info here.
