Family Friendly Bonfire Night and Firework Displays 2017

13 Family-friendly Bonfire and Fireworks events in Notts.

Get your scarf out! It's time for huddling around the bonfire, feeling the cosy vibes and watching a dazzling display.

Friday 4th November

  • Stonebridge City Farm, Stonebridge Road Nottingham. 

Stonebridge City Farm is inviting families to their Bonfire night for FREE.

Instead of fireworks, they have entertainment from Beatfeet and the Phoenix Fire Spinners. The fun starts at 4.30pm and the bonfire will be lit a7 pm. Hot food and mushy peas will also be available.

  • Keyworth Rugby Club, Willoughby Road, Nottingham. 

The gates are open at 6.30pm, the bonfire lit at 6.45pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are just £4 per person (Under 5's free).

Hotdogs, Burgers, mushy peas and hot & cold drinks available.

 

Saturday 5th November

  • Firewalk (yep!) and Fireworks at Nottingham Castle. 

There’s lots of entertainment on at this one! You can expect live music, a bar, lots of yummy food including a hog roast and BBQ, drumming with Beatfeet, fire performers, and a charity firewalk!

The action starts at 7 pm when the gates are opened, and the Fireworks will start around 9 pm.

Tickets are £10 per adult, £4 per child (under 5’s are free) or £25 for a family ticket (2 adults & 3 children) Advanced purchases are recommended (there’s an additional £1 p&p charge for online purchases). For more ticket information view here 

 

  • Robin Hood Festival at Wilford Village, Nottingham Moderns Rugby Ground.

The children will get their own display earlier in the evening before the big display later. They’ll also be a beer tent, hog roast, a mini fairground and live music!

The event starts at 5 pm, the children’s fireworks are at 6.30pm and the main display is at 8.30pm.

  • 4th Carlton Scout Group, Standhill Road Park, Carlton. 

The gates open at 7 pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7.15pm and the fireworks start at 8 pm.

Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children and £12 for the Family.

 

  • Great Central Railway, Mere Way, Ruddington. 

There will be food stalls, a licensed bar, live music and a funfair.

The gates open at 5.30pm and the fireworks display starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £5 per adult, £3 per child and £12.50 per family with discounts available if bought in advance.

  • 2nd Kimberly Scout Group, Kettlebrook Lodge, Eastwood Road, Kimberley.

The bonfire will be lit at 7 pm, and there will be a disco until 10 pm. There’ll be a bar and food available. Admission is just £3 per adults and £1.50 per child.

  • Mellish Rugby Club, Memorial Grounds, Mapperley Plains. 

The annual Mellish RFC Bonfire and Fireworks night will be providing a bar, BBQ, and refreshments.

The gates open at 6 pm, the Bonfire starts at 7.15pm and the Fireworks start at 8 pm

Adults - £5, Children - £2.50 and Under 5s – FREE

 

  • 3rd Woodthorpe Firework Display. Pepperpots Scout Ground (corner of Plains road and Arnold Lane)


Admission at the gate is £5 per adult, £3 per child and under 5's are free. The gates are open at 6.30pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm.

There will also be Hot food & drinks, and glowsticks available to buy. 

There isn't any parking on site for Health and Safety reasons. However, there is free parking (for the night) at Nuffield Health Centre & gym, which is a 5-minute walk from the event.
 

  • Elwes Arms, Oakdale Road, Carlton.

This is a FREE display. The fun starts at 6 pm with the Firework display starting around 7.45pm and finishes at 9 pm

Hot food and hog roasts are available.

 

Sunday 5th November

  • Forest Recreation Ground, Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham

There's an estimated 40,000 expected at this event! The little ones get a display at 7.15pm and the main display is at 9 pm, both displays are FREE for the whole family. There’ll also be fairground rides and food stalls running from 5.30pm to 10.30pm.

  • Blackwoods Scout Hut. 477 Hucknall Road, Sherwood. 

A great family get-together with two displays. All money raised is to support the local scouts, cubs, and beavers.

Ticket prices are just £4 per adult and £3 per child. The fire will be lit at 7 pm and the first display will be at 7.30pm.

Hot and cold drinks are available.

Monday 6th November

  • Coppice Park, Ransom Road, Mapperley. 

This is a FREE event and includes entertainment. This year they have an Interactive Audio Visual Dome, a fire performer and giant puppets involved!

The action starts at 6 pm, the fireworks display starts at 7 pm and food and drink will be available.
