We love October Half Term, mainly because of all the spooky Halloween happenings. We've got 11 family-friendly activities and events for you to take a look at.
12 Freaky Halloween Events for the Family in Notts
White Post Farm 21st to 29th October
White Post Farm have lots of Halloween fun in store! Kids can join the Wicked Witch Workshop where they can learn to make potions, fly a broom and spook each other out in the haunted house. Stonebridge City Farm. 23rd October - 3rd November
They've got spooky games, cookie decorating, Halloween crafts and creepy crawly reptiles to handle. There's also music and grooving from the popular duo Rainbow Stripes and African Drumming with Beatfeet. Check out their dates and times on their Facebook page here.
Intu Victoria Centre Magic School. 22nd - 29th October
Put a pause on the shopping and stop off at Magic School! Kids get to take part in lots of Halloween themed activities including potion mixing and making.Their hard work will be worth it when they get to graduate to a Wicked Witch or a Wizard. Click here for more information.
Skateland Halloween Party. 27th October
Get your spooky skates on and roll down to Skateland's Halloween Party. The party starts at 6 pm and finishes at 9 pm, tickets are just £2. Find out more here
Green's Windmill Halloween Workshops. 21st, 26th, 29th October
Kids get to put their imaginations into making a spooky creation out of salt dough on the 21st. They also get to bake Halloween Biscuits on the 26th and there's Mask Making on the 29th.

Wollaton Hall Cave Tour 23rd October
This Halloween, get the family to join the spooky tour of creepy caves and eerie tunnels that are way down below Wollaton Hall. Make sure you've got your costume and dress to impress! Find times and prices here.
Wollaton Hall Ghost Walk. 27th October
Go for a creepy ghost walk through Wollaton Deer park and hear spine-tingling stories about Wollaton Lake, The Camellia House, and the Blue Lady. Find times and prices here.
Nottingham Castle Dungeon Tour. 23rd & 27th October
Freaky Halloween happenings at the castle include a Ghostly Dungeon tour. Make sure you and the kids are dressed in your scariest costumes, look out for the ghosts and ghouls! Find out more here.
Cresswell Crags. 24th & 31st October
Cresswell Crags is offering a Halloween workshop for kids to make their own owl or bat lampshade on the 24th October between 11-3. There's also a free Halloween craft drop-in workshop on the 31st October where the focus is on Spooky Spiders and Batty Bats! Find out more here.
Newstead Abbey. 21st - 5th November
Explore the ghostly grounds of the Abbey and take a look at the Bat Trail where the kids can find clues to complete the trail for a prize! Check times here.
Wollaton Hall Spooky Sprint. 28th October
Do you dare to get the family involved in a spooky after-dark race where all you'll have is a head torch to lead the way? The race is held at Wollaton Park and Halloween fancy definitely encouraged!
This is a charity race supporting the aid of helping find a cure and improving the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's. For more information click here.
Robin Hood's Wheelgate. 14th October - 5th November
Wheelgate has lots of 'fangtastic' Halloween surprises this October. Halloween themed Characters will be walking around providing some family-friendly spooks. Kids can join in workshops where they'll encounter creepy critters and bugs, and toddlers are entertained by Millie the friendly Monster. There's also FREE pumpkins to carve or paint!
